In the game, (very early on,) it’s revealed that *AU Damian killed AU Dick in the *alternate universe.

In the comic, Injustice #16, you see how it happened. I think a lot of people were expecting an all out duel between the two but instead got a haphazard accident. Damian and Dick are arguing while fighting baddies and Damian lashes out by throwing one of his escrima sticks at Dick’s temple. It’s suggested in the comic that Dick is always able to dodge this move, and expects it out of Damian (while practicing.) However, this time it hits Dick in the temple, knocking him out (and/or paralyzing him) before he hits the ground. When he hits the ground, his neck snaps against a rock.

A million and one rock jokes ensue. 

I think people were expecting an all out brawl to the death because Damian seems glad that Dick is dead in the game. However, my thought is that Damian turns unremorseful because of Batman’s reaction towards Damian after Dick’s death. Nevertheless, it’s still a silly way for Dick to die. But, which is the bigger stretch? Accidental death, or intentional death by Damian’s hand? I don’t think they wanted to write an extensive arc for Damian to push him to that point, because it’d take a LOT to get him there.

Dick’s reaction to his alternate self’s demise…because I’m pretty sure he’d giggle a little after finding out. xD

So, I’m browsing the Nightwing tag and the Injustice tag only to be overwhelmed with people raging, and it’s making me annoyed because I actually really like the game Injustice, and the accompanying comic.
